Spectra Physics Sirah Cobra Stretch Dye Laser (General Facility Project No: GS 03/01)

Features: 

• Wavelength tunable from 400 nm to 650 nm with an option for second harmonics in the whole range. 

• Repetition rate: 10 Hz. 

• Output pulse energy: 30 mJ. 

• Pulse width: 7ns; band width: 0.2 cm-1. 

• 'ND: YAG' pump laser where 355 nm and 532 nm are available based on the dye required. 

Applications: 

• Spectroscopic studies mainly shift & broadening of Rydberg spectral lines. 

• Nonlinear spectroscopy. 

• Fluorescence lifetime measurements and Raman spectroscopy. 

• In material processing and laser ablation of samples
